NEVER wearing black again

Hey everyone, hope everyone is doing so good!

Tuesday I got on a plane and headed to bucharest for transfers! My comp and I went souvenir shopping and got some amazing Greek food when we got there since it was our pday. Then I had a massive sleepover at the sisters apartment but in true sami fashion I passed out on the couch pretty early, lights on and all haha

Wednesday we had transfer day. So we hung out in bucharest until our train came that night. It was fun seeing all the missionaries and catching up for a bit. Then our train left that night so we went to the train station and headed back to timi!

Thursday was lowkey. We were going through our areabook a lot since we got another sisters areabook so we are trying to figure out who everyone is and make sure we can meet with our friends! We also went streeting that night and lowkey got bashed but good thing that man can't say anything to shake my testimony. But somehow we still got his number and we were going back to teach him so idk 🤷‍♀️

Friday was fun. Had a good district council and more calls and cleaning up the areabook. We met some cool people though on the street. One of them has 6 dogs but wants us to come over and teach her, so pretty much my worst nightmare. But hey I'll in trust in God on this one and she is super cool so I'll brave some dogs to talk about Jesus. Also met a cute lady who was so excited for a book of mormon and we happened to have an extra copy on us (we had some with us to bring to lessons later that night but we grabbed one extra just to bring home so we had one!) And she was excited to get it! Then we went back and met with said bashy man from Thursday and this moment was where I had the realization of how weird missionary work is sometimes. We met this Thursday, have very differing opinions on beliefs, ask to come over to his house to teach him again, call him and say we are in the area, he comes and gets us, we go inside, chat with him and his wife for an hour and can't agree on much but then they feed us ice-cream and make small talk. What is life. What are romanians. So random. But basically they couldn't except the book of mormon. They think the bible is sufficient (romanians favorite word I swear) we tried to explain it a lot but I'm not going to convince them of something, not my responsibility so we just ended it and invited them to read and pray and about it. But the wife has the coolest job ever and helps people at an abortion clinic to find other resources than abortion and she helps saves babies from abortions so basically an angel. Pretty interesting day.

Saturday we volunteered at the dog shelter again. I guess I really gotta get over my dislike of dogs hahah. But it was fun. Some of my favorite members from cluj (my last area) were in timi so we went to see them and it was a lot of fun to catch up. I love them. Also more calls and church invites heheh.

Sunday was so fun. We had a friend come to church who we had just called the night before for the first time and he showed up and loved it. We taught him after with a member and the member was going crazy with all sorts of information. She gets so excited when we have friends at church and to teach since she just wants our cutie little branch to grow. But I feel like it was overwhelming for our friend so we just tried to explain the book of mormon and then told him we could meet up later this week. We apologized for the overload but he said he didn't feel like it was too much at all and wants to come again and we have a lesson Wednesday....? God works in mysterious ways. We also visited an inactive member who is so cute and we got to watch an area devotional with president oaks so that was super cool. We called loredana too and read the Book of mormon. She is reading it on her own now 🥹🥹 so adorable. Love her. I also wore a black dress on Sunday and got asked twice if I was in mourning so apparently I can't wear that dress again or else everything thinks I'm mourning someone haha

Hang on for just a moment for one last little spiritual thought haha. Sorry for the long email.
I read a talk this week by president monson and I like this quote
"Jesus changed men. He changed their habits and opinions and ambitions. He changed their tempers, dispositions, and natures. He changed their hearts. He lifted! He loved! He forgave! He redeemed! Do we have the will to follow?" I know that Jesus changes people. I'm not the same person I was a year ago and hopefully not the same person I will be in 6 months. Jesus changes and He saves.

Love you all
