gilmore girls magic and 5 months ?!

Hey everyone, another good week of missionary work in Romania!

This week wasn't crazy so I'll do some highlights!

- we went and visited a member this week and she speaks Hungarian so we started asking her how to say words in Hungarian and she starts laughing and goes "let me show you" and she pulls out her Hungarian Book of Mormon and tries to teach us words and we couldn't pronounce them and she laughed at us, but it was awesome, she took a picture and posted it on Facebook, Romanians love Facebook haha

- hit 5 months as a missionary! Time actually flies

- we went whiteboard finding, we set up a white board at a bus stop and talked to people that way because we needed new ideas

- went tramvai (like trams or trolleys) and just got on a random one, talked to everyone on it and once we did we got off and got on the next one, it was actually successful and super fun, it was super snowy that day so it worked that people were on it because they didn't want to walk. We called it Gilmore Girls magic because it was the first snow of the year and we had a lot of success that day haha

- got yelled at in a bloc by a lady threatening to call the police because we were in her building, so that was crazy

- we visited a restaurant that our friend works at and it was fun and got good food

- had a really awesome lesson with a friend who came to church for the first time!! Everyone pray for Cristina she is awesome and progressing!

This week was good. Missions are hard and tiring and amazing and rewarding. I love you all, please reach out!
love sam

Spiritual thought:
I am reading in Cartea lui Mormon in 2 Nephi right now and I read chapter 4 the other day. It kinda hit home really hard. It talks about how how he knew he was sinning and he felt so grieved over it. He was focusing a lot on his mistakes and sins and how it's easy to give into them sometimes. But he ends a verse saying "but I know in whom I have trusted". He knows he's a sinner, he knows he messed up and could have done better but he still knows who he trusted and that God has a bigger and better plan and how God has supported him and and led him through other afflictions. He goes on to say that why would he wallow in his sorrows and afflictions when he has seen greatest evidence of God. I was in awe when I read that. I have probably read that chapter dozens of times but this time it actually spoke to me. Every time I, or we, slip up and/or do something wrong after saying we won't do it again we can sometimes get stuck on the fact that we sinned but we have to remember that we are going to mess up but God has a plan and has forgiven us and we shouldn't wallow in our sorrows but just remember who we trust in!
