invalid or women?

Hey everyone! Another quick and good week! Here's some haps

☆☆Tuesday I hit my one year! Got some ice cream and KFC to celebrate! We also called our friend Loredana and she is perfect in every way.

☆☆Wednesday we went to a members house for lunch and dinner! Got to love member meals. But they are perfect and one member made some missionaries dance with her so it was so fun

☆☆one member is from Uganda and she makes jewelry so she gave us all free earrings and bracelets, tender

☆☆another member meal on thursday! We went to her house and it was air conditioned which is heavenly(most buildings dont) and the food was good

☆☆Friday we had a district activity and we did some service at a high school, we helped move things out of a high school but the sisters couldn't do much because they don't let girls do manual labor here, we had to BEG to let them carry things hence -invalid or women?

☆☆Sunday the missionaries taught 5th Sunday and we talked about bringing hope into the branch that it will grow, hoping to inspire the members that even though the branch is small it will grow!

☆☆we also went finding! And found the cutest mini hedgehog ever

☆☆also finally got some good referrals and set up some good lessons this week!

☆☆called our friend Loredana a few times and she is perfect and cares for us and is so amazing

☆☆my cutie compy is still kinda not feeling good so we had a doctors appt and figuring out work in the heat haha because romania is currently COOKING

Quick spiritual thought : I don't have much to say except that recently my testimony of how much God is there for us has really grown. No matter how big or small the trial, God is there, nothing is too small or too late to talk to God about. I know this is true.

Love you all!

1 year‼️⭐️☀️

Hey everyone, how are you doing??

I was told by my mom that I need to write more details in my emails so if this is long and boring please blame her not me

Ok but actually not much happened this week so I'll try and search for some good content

Tuesday we did the normal start of the week stuff and went finding a lot. We went and did our studies at Starbucks and the workers were actually mocking us and the drinks were bad so 0/10 recommend Starbucks in Timiศ™oara we also taught English and the people learning it told me I needed to slow down my talking because they didn't understand but then they asked me to explain the stock market....? If they can understand that I'm sure they can understand my talking but who knows ๐Ÿคท‍♀️

Wednesday was also pretty normal. We called one of friends and taught her with a member which was so cool. We send this friend verses everyday and then she always asks us to read that chapter with her the next we read together. It's cute. She loves the Book of Mormon and it's so tender. We also had to go to the doctors since my comp is having some health issues so let's just say my medical Romanian needs some help heheh. We also have been talking a lot with the girl we meet last week (patricia) and we went and bought some perfume that she told us we should wear and it feels like texting my friends at home since she is our age and just genuinely a good friend so it is so tender and cute

Thursday we went back to the hospital to get some other stuff done for my comp. Bless up that this doctor spoke English. ๐Ÿ™ then we met with our friend Loredana and talked with her. Funny story- one of the ac unit doesn't work in the church so we told her we were gonna meet in another room instead of the one we normally use and she was like "ok I'm just going to get some water" so we went and sat down in the other room and waited for like 15 minutes and we were wondering where the heck she was and turns out she misunderstood and was sitting in the other room waiting for us for like 15 minutes, not crazy funny but kind of

Friday was another doctors visit. This one was long. But also at the place that spoke English hahah. But they told us that later we had to go back to another clinic and they don't really speak English there so for language study I studied up on how to talk about insurance and medical terminology so good thing I already know about medical insurance and how it works (shout out to my job) so all I had to do was learn the words and not what they mean in english #blessupmountaindental but basically the people over the phone were not happy when I didn't understand what they were talking about so I studied real good for my romanian medical terminology then the rest of the day my comp wasn't feeling good so she crashed so it gave me time to clean and read and catch up on stuff which was actually way nice, we also just did some Grey dot calls (people who were previously taught) so that was chill.

Saturday- no doctors appt๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ best part of the day was our youth activity! We had a youth activity (with like the 2 youth haha) and we filled up like 300 hundred balloons and a huge water balloon fight and was so much fun, we got soaked and it was a blast it was so much fun but if anyone knows the most effective way to clean up water balloons lmk hehehe

Sunday was good! We had church and one of our friends got a blessing to help her and we all kneeled in prayer together to help decide on somethings and help her with some things she is going through so it's been good! Did all the normal. We went finding a little bit to go check on someone who we met 2 weeks ago but she wasn't there sadly but it's ok because we got to meet maria who is so cute and amazing! So cool to see how God can put you in the right place at the right time. A lot of things had to work out for to meet maria so another testament that God's timing is pretty amazing

So like my title says- 1 year! A year ago today (idk when my mom is sending this out but 6/23) I got set apart as a missionary and on the 24th I started my mission! This year has been the fastest year of my life. It was been hard and good and exhausting and just so joy filled. Even in the hardest of moments there isn't any place I'd rather be but here on my mission in romania. Serving God is a beautiful joy filled thing. I love it. Basically the best year of my life! Here's to 6 more amazing beautiful joy filled months !

Ok last thought! Every night we read the Book of mormon with our friend and it is so cool that in every chapter we have been able to pick something out that is applicable to our lives. It has just been another testament that the Book was written for our day and how every page has something important รฎn there for us. It's been a real testimony builder to have this experience. Basically the book of mormon is true and can help us through all our trials. I love it. Also side note - we've been reading with our friend to help her get in the habit of reading and she told us how she has been reading it on her own now!!! So cool.

Love you all! Have a good week
