Happy late 4th everybody! I hope everyone had the best day celebrating the best holiday (for those who can't tell the 4th is my favorite holiday haha) basically I hope everyone had a great week and is a little more sunburned now lol (I definitely am)
Ok into my week now hahahah
I think my mom appreciates more detail so I'll hit ya with as much as I can this week
Monday was such a fun p-day compete with 10 missionaries, kfc, Burritos, Lazer tag, thrifting and buying shirts for each other and ice cream, pretty top tier day
Tuesday was nothing special, some canceled lessons, crazy referral calls and taught English and our friend Loredana!
Wednesday we went to an old folks home and sang to them. That might have been the most tender thing. Basically just reaffirmed my testimony of God's love for all His children and made my day and those ladies week so it was amazing, also got blessed with a handsome husband so pretty much - winning
Thursday we had another member meal at Sora Nedelcu's. We taught her some American/english phrases since she likes to be funny and say things in English but she always takes the Lord's name in vain so we taught her some alternatives haha one of the missionaries here always says "all my days" kinda like "oh my gosh" so we taught her that and it was hilarious, we also had district council and it might have been my best one. It was so good. My comp got a migraine so we kinda just rested the rest of the day.
Friday-- my favorite day of the year!
My comp still wasn't feeling great so we took it chill and did some stuff at home. Then we had the best 4th party ever! So many people are interested in what we do as Americans so we threw a 4th of July party for our friends and branch! It was a lot of fun and SO many people came! It was actually a great turnout and we ate hotdogs, smores, chips and played some American trivia hahah. Pretty much best day ever. There also happened to be a festival happening in Timi so fireworks were going off so felt very appropriate.
Saturday we got transfer news!! I'm staying in timi with my new comp Sora Baril so I'm excited ! We also went with our new member to help out at a dog shelter. If anyone knows me they know I'm not the biggest animal person but don't worry I tried to hide it (key word is tried) for a few hours and helped out the dogs. Also met up with our friend patricia! She is crazy busy finishing up her year of med school right now so we went to her college campus and met up with her for a little and chatted and it was so fun.
Sunday was nothing crazy except that the church was so full today!!!! It was so heartwarming so see a full chapel!! And then Monday consisted of some member visits, packing and a friend visit so sora momberger could say bye, cute day.
Sorry the already long email, but here's a nice spiritual thought for you all:
We were chatting at district council about all sorts of things and one thing that someone said stuck with me. It was "God will make the miracle". God will make the miracle. We put in what we need, our 5 loaves and 2 fishes and God will make the miracle from it. If I have learned anything this transfer it's about the healing and miraculous power of the atonement. Through the atonement of Christ, our enough that is never enough on its own will always be enough. The atonement brings miracles. God will make them. The atonement is always strength giving and healing. This transfer I've have seen how God can pick us up and give us strength beyond our own to keep going. Strength that is nothing short of heaven and of a miracle. God will make them.
Love ya all
Sora sami
