the dog days of summer

Hey everyone! Welcome to another one. Got some good stories this week so let's jump into it.

Tuesday was all the chill things. We went to an inactive members house. Still says she can't come to church but we showed her the gospel library app and says she'll maybe come to church with her son? We'll see I guess. We also taught our English class and boy there are some interesting people who come. They asked my comp if she would be allowed to marry a Muslim and still be a member, I was asked if only "good mormons" serve missions, judged on my beliefs by a 13 year old and one of the regulars said that he is going to Africa next week to live out his African dream of chasing a lion....? So hopefully he makes it to English alive next time. But hey English class is growing so I'd considered it a win haha.

Wednesday was fun. We went streeting in the morning and found some cute new people! Also got rejected a lot but hey, what's new? Had some lessons with our friends ani and loredana. Also taught our new friend Gabriela and she is actually so amazing and so cool. Down side is she currently lives in a little town outside of the city until college starts again so hopefully she moves sooner hahah. Pretty fun day.

Thursday was crazy. Called someone who forgot they signed up online but somehow still wants to meet up again soon that's chill. Our kitchen sink was leaking all over the place so we couldn't use it for a little bit since it was flooding our kitchen lowkey so luckily we had some water in the fridge to take with us since we couldn't get drinking water for a minute. (We have a water filter on our church sink since we aren't supposed to drink normal tap water so it's our only drinking water) and then this is where it gets crazy. It was raining but we had a lesson so we make our way over there. But if you thought my experience at the dog shelter last week was bad, imagine this, raining outside, our friend has 6 dogs and 2 cats inside her house since they don't wanna be out in the rain. So pretty much picture my worst nightmare. Apparently I can't hide my dislike for dogs and cats because she asked me constantly if I was stressed or scared. Luckily once the actual lesson started all the animals got chill and we had a good lesson. Tender mercy. But basically I need to get over my fear and dislike because apparently our friends can notice lol. But this lady is a saint and takes care of so many animals because she hates seeing them abandoned on the street so she's an angel. Then we ran to catch our train to Arad!

Friday- Arad day! We had an exchange in Arad (pretty sure it's like my 5th one there or something crazy) and I was with Sora pack! So fun. We got some fun lunch and dinner and studying at some cafes and went streeting a lot! Called our friend Loredana and had a good old yap sesh, good day

Saturday we caught a pretty early train back to Timiศ™oara so we were super tired but it was good pretty normal day, except for the fact that I lowkey flooded our kitchen hahah ๐Ÿ˜…. Basically I was filling up a pot in the sink and didn't realize that the water was flowing over the sink and not into the sink so the kitchen got superrrrr wet but don't worry all was cleaned up and our apartment is still standing.

Sunday was the coolest day ever. We found some super cute and excited people to teach this week! It was so fun. We also ran into our friend Luiza who is on baptismal date!!!! She has some had family situations that made it hard to get in contact with her so it was literally God's timing and miracle that we ran into her and she still wants to be baptized and was asking about her interview and everything it was so cool. So pray for Luiza, she is getting baptized August 16!!! I'm so excited, she is the sweetest person ever and I know I was supposed to meet her.

Sorry for the long email! But I have a little spiritual thought of some things I've been thinking about lately. While on an exchange I was studying my scriptures in the morning and I can't quite remember what I was studying at the moment but I had the distinct impression and feeling and thought of how perfect God's plan is for me. His plan for me is far greater than my plan. I've seen so much evidence of this on my mission. Every transfer, every area, every companion, every season of my mission has had a distinct reason. The good and the hard. Thinking back to certain moments in my life I realized how frustrated I was over things not going the way I thought but hindsight is 20/20 and God's plan is perfect. His plan is far better than mine and learning to trust in it has been a big blessing in my life. That was long but just some thoughts from this week. Trusting in God brings true and peace and joy.

Love ya all, email me and I'll try and email back haha

Love sami
