7 months---I can finally understand Romanian

Ok welcome back, I know you were all counting down the days until my next email so let's get to it

Tuesday was a little uneventful. We had all the normal meetings and planning and then we left on a train to Arad! It's kinda a long train ride but the best part we got to stop in Oradea and I got to show Sora Harris my old area! The best best part was that we got plăcinta. Sora Droubay and I's favorite plăcinta lady was there and so I got some and bonus, we didn't have enough cash so she gave it to us for cheaper 🥹 tender mercy for real, then we got to Arad and partied it up with the Arad sisters.

Wednesday I went on an exchange with Sora Later! It was a lot of fun!! We saw the most beautiful sunset ever and it was a pretty cool reminder that I'm literally living in Romania and speaking a whole other language and that God is watching over me. I know that sounds silly that a sunset did that, but it did. It's the small things everybody.

Thursday we had district council and got dinner as district and just headed back to Cluj.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were nothing crazy! We are always out finding new people to teach! It's been slow but always good. We had a few good member lessons which are always amazing, the members here are so so amazing!

Basically it for the week! I felt like I had some breakthroughs with the language. We were talking to someone on the street and I walked away from the interaction realizing I didn't have to think about what I was saying in Romanian or what they were saying, I just understood and talked. It was awesome. I had a few interactions like that this week so it was super cool to realize my growth with this language.

My little spiritual thought kinda goes with what I was saying earlier. Basically sometimes, as we all know, life is weird and hard sometimes but it's been harder on my mission to see the little joys everyday instead of always looking for the big ones. The little ones are there in abundance. Look at the sunset and remind yourself where you at, don't become immune to the scenery because once we do we can forget all the good. Elder Kearon gave a byu devo about never becoming immune to the scenery of where you are at and I'm trying to take that to heart. Never forget you on a beautiful earth in a beautiful place made by an all loving God.  Basically every once in a while, stop and take a funny video and pictures of the sunset even if it makes you a little late to where ever you are going. It's always worth it.
here's my weekly spiel.

love, sam
