sora schofs world tour

Ok if you thought my last week travel was crazy, this week was crazier, to recap, we started in Oradea, went to Ploiești, to Bucharest, back to Oradea, to Arad and then back.

Tuesday (Oradea)
Very good day. Nothing crazy happened, a bunch of normal missionary work. Had a good lesson with a friend and she's amazing.

Wednesday (mostly Oradea)
Again, nothing crazy, we met up with a member and talked with her, she is amazing and very helpful. Someone on the street told us her whole life story, people really open to the missionaries and I don't know why haha. But we had to pack and go to the gară (train station) to head to Ploiești. We took a 14 hour sleeper train haha.

Thursday (Ploiești)
Woke up on a sleeper in Bucharest and caught a train to Ploiești. We had to go to pick up my visa in Ploiesti #legalnow  you have to pick up your visa in the city you applied for it in, so we spent the day there, got my favorite food ever (donor house shaorma) and just did some missionary work around Ploiești! Very weird to be back in my old area, it felt so odd but it was fun to see it. Also very weird to be back in the old apartment but not be living there.

Friday (Bucharest)
Friday we got up and took a train from Ploiești to Bucharest since we had a mission conference! Elder and Sister Gerard, our area authority over the Europe central area, came so the whole mission got together!!! It was so fun to see everyone. I got to see my whole MTC district and meet all the new missionaries and the ones I've never met before. It was awesome. Elder and Sister Gerard gave really good talks and they were really uplifting and helpful. It was really awesome to have the whole mission together. I wish we did it more often.

Saturday (Oradea)
Friday night we got on a sleeper train to Oradea and woke up there Saturday morning! Saturday was normal missionary work. We had some lessons and games night. A lot of people came to games night so it was really fun.

Sunday (Arad)
Sunday we got up at 5:30 and took a bus to Arad for a regional conference. Three branches in Romania got together to have a conference with the Gerards. It was a lot of fun. But not fun waking up early.

So to recap, we took 4 trains this week, 2 bus rides and slept 0 hours. It was actually crazy. But fun.

A quick spiritual thought from mission conference:
The Gerards talked a lot about being intentional and knowing who we are. Being intentional is different as missionaries but it applies in real life really well. We need to be intentional in what do, how and why we read our scriptures, how and why we say prayers, how we talk to people. In all things. It makes life more meaningful and gives us a better relationship with God. They also told us to never underestimate who we are. To never underestimate why we got called here and what we can do here. The same goes in a broad sense. We are all children of Heavenly Father and we can't underestimate what we can do with Him on our side!

I love you and I know Jesus loves you!!
love sam
