Sora Sami Schofield Romania Bucharest Mission: JOY💌

This week was so amazing! Honestly though, it was nothing special.

Tuesday we got dinner with Theo. He wanted to get dinner with us before transfers came so we all went to McDonald's with him.

Wednesday Sora Blanchard hit one year on her mission so we celebrated!

Thursday was our district activity so we went to Brașov and helped sew some Christmas cards for an old folks home. It was really fun.

This whole weekend was district conference (think stake conference but smaller) and it was in Ploiești so we spent a majority of Friday and Saturday helping prep for that and setting it all up. It was fun.

Monday we had some good lessons and I said goodbye to some of our friends. I'm really sad to be leaving ploiesti and our friends! We worked really hard these transfers and have some good friends I'm excited about!

This week was still a lot of the normal, finding and trying to talk to people. A lot of lessons fell through but we had some good ones which was amazing!

We also got transfer news on Saturday and I'm moving to Oradea (super close to the border of Hungary) to be comps with Sora Droubay from my mtc group! I'm nervous since we are both new at the language but I know we can do it with God's help! I'm excited to go to Oradea, it's one of the prettiest places in Romania and I'll be there around Christmas which will be amazing!

This week was so good. There is so much joy in being a missionary. I love it so much!!!! Being missionary is hard but it also some of the most joy I've felt. I can't even describe it. I'm learning and growing and talking (trying to) of Jesus Christ. No matter how hard and sometimes uncomfortable the growth can be, it is so good! There is truly joy in living and sharing the Gospel. I'm also learning more and more that God is in every aspect of the work! It's amazing!

Spiritual thought:

The scripture I share the most while we street is Mosiah 16:9 which talks about how Christ is the light and life of the world. I've been thinking a lot about this because I share it so often. I know Christ is the light and life of THE world and I know He is the light and life of MY world. Individually. I love the personal aspect of the Savior and atonement.
