din germania?

Welcome back gamers, another good week here in Ploiești! Here's some happenings:

Quick note on the subject- whenever people see my name and see me they ask if I am from Germany, apparently being blonde haired and blue eyed and with my "weird" last name makes me german, 'din germania' just means 'from germany' in romanian!

On Tuesday we just had a bunch of morning meetings and weekly planning and our studies. We just did some finding, bloc knocking and contacting. Nothing crazy but a good, quick day! 

Wednesday we had 2 lessons!! Which is actually so lit because some days we don't even have one lesson haha but these lessons were actually amazing! One was with a lady we met a little bit ago and finally got to meet with. She told us how when we found her she had been praying to God for help and then she heard us come up and ask to talk to her and shared a verse with exactly what she needed to hear! She knew that was God helping her. She was amazing and I am excited about her! Then we had another one with an old Grey dot (someone previously taught by the missionaries) and she was awesome too! Pretty hype. Really good day!! 

On Thursday we did a little of everything haha! We went finding, met a member, bloc knocked, contacted and then all the normal stuff like our studies. It was jam packed! But we were able to find someone while finding! And we bloc knocked and someone let us in and we shared the whole restoration! Pretty cool. Pretty lit day. 

Friday was nothing crazy either! Some finding in the morning. My comp and I had a goal to talk to 50 people and try to talk to 100 people and we would get a little sweet treat as a reward haha we ended up only talking to like 53 people but it was literally everyone who was outside so that was a win and we got 2 numbers out of it! So that was cool! Making goals for finding always makes it more fun and makes it go by quicker and talking to everyone outside is the best because you have no idea who the Lord is preparing! We then just did the normal things and we went to find some inactive members but we didn't have success :(  e ok! Then we walked so far back to get our stuff and all the way back to the gară because we were headed to Brașov for our district activity!! Then on Saturday we were in Brașov for a district activity! We painted some things for a school there and it was so fun! 

Today we went and hiked this crazy hike in Bușteni! It was so lit. It was legit straight up for like 4 hours. It was actually the hardest hike ever but so worth it. The view at the top was amazing!! W way to spend p-day. If anyone wants to look up the hike look Bușteni cross and you can see it!

Other funny highlights!:

-everyone crosses as they pass a church and when we were on a bus we passed a church and everyone crossed in sync it was so funny 

-every romanian man is shirtless when they are at home, literally any man who opens his door has no shirt on

-everyone thinking we are german

-getting told by a random guy at the farmers market "I don't like you. I don't like your religion. You don't know the truth of God" lol kinda funny, we actually do know the truth, hence why im in romania haha and he said it in English so I actually understood lol 

-lesson with a member and a friend where we said nothing and the member taught everyone #lit 

-testimony meeting in church going 30 minutes because people couldn't stop sharing, romanians are top tier yappers 

-perfecting the head nod and "da da da (yeah yeah yeah)" so when I don't understand what people are saying I can do that and they think I understand 

-got on the bus and sat next too a giant cage with 11 cockatoos in it, so random 

Spiritual thoughts:

I read in 3 nephi 11 this week, the pinnacle chapter of the Book of Mormon where Christ comes to the Nephites. In verse 5, right before He comes the Nephites hear a voice from the heavens but it took them 3 times to hear it and open their ears to it. So I thought are my ears open to hearing God? I ask for things in my prayers and I want answers but are my ears open? Sometimes I just don't know if they are. So I'm been working on trying to open my ears and heart to hear Heavenly Father talk to me and I invite you all to do the same! See if your ears are open to hearing how Heavenly Father speaks to you!

Anyways good week! They keep getting better which is definitely a miracle, really appreciate God for that one and for helping me! But as always prayers for the gift of tongues would be appreciated! I feel behind in the language and want to be able to contribute more!

ps sorry my emails are long, they will probably never get any shorter, as my dad so kindly pointed out to me one p-day "you're a yapper" and that's true I am, so it comes across in my emails, anyone who knows me knows I talk a lot so bear with me and skip to the photos if they are too long sorry not sorry
