Welcome back again! I feel like I was just writing an email and not much happened this week so it won't be a very long one.
This week was our last full week at the mtc! It was full of "lasts", our last devotional, last p-day today, last temple trip (for 18 months:( ), we are about to have our last class, our last Sunday, so so crazy! So excited for finally be getting to romania!!
It's crazy to think that in 4 days I'll be in romania! I'm so nervous and excited! It'll be so good to get out of the mtc and truly learn romanian. I'm so stoked.
This week was our last full week and our last devotional! It was the best devotional ever! Elder and Sister Nielson came. He is in the presidency of the 70 and it was his last talk since he got released August 1st. It was so good to hear from them. I really think Sister Neilson said "hmm let me base my entire talk off of exactly what sami needs to hear in this moment" because it was for real exactly for me. She talked about how it is normal that missions are hard and how if we do every thing in our power then God will carry us. She talked about learning a language and if you only know 50 words use them all and God will help learn the 51st, it was amazing. So cool that she gave her last talk in this capacity to us and thought to tell us about how God is there and will never let us down, a really interesting thought....
Some other little highlights:
- the sisters got matching shirts and we went on a walk in them and got complements
- finished our last romanian teaching appointment! (until the real deal next week)
- a bunch of snacks from our families
- going to the temple one last time! (Romania doesn't have a temple)
- learned how to say "holy cow" in romanian (vaca sfânta)
- learned how to shadow box lol
Not much happened this week, just a bunch of learning as much romanian as possible and soaking up the last little bit of being together with my comp and the whole district before being shipped off to a little town in romania with a new comp haha
One last little spiritual thought:
On Sunday we have a really long time to personal study and I was reading in the new New testament when Christ was performing all His miracles and I started thinking about how Christ hasn't done any large miracles for me like that. He hasn't helped me to see or cure a blood issue of mine. However the more I started thinking about it, the more I realized how Christ has done even more miraculous things in my life. He has done so many miraculous things in my life and all of ours. I started making a list of the ones I can think of and I recommend it. Even if you don't think He performed any miracles in your life, I promise He has, look a little deeper and I know you'll see His hand in everything!
Anyways that's about it for this week!!
Ciao for now, next time you get an email I'll be in RO!!
love,
