Sora Sami Schofield Romania Bucharest Mission: 100 days!?

Welcome back gamers! How are you all?

This week was good and full of a lot and nothing all at once!

Tuesday we had a member meal! It was awesome, she had us over for lunch and it's the best romanian food I've had yet! We had chorbă (soup) and stuffed peppers, it was so good! That was the highlight of the day! It was pretty basic besides that.

Wednesday we had 3 lessons! I felt pretty bad after the first one since I couldn't say much and I got down on myself about romanian. But then we had another one and these little girls told me that I'm going to learn romanian fast because I speak good already and that my comp won't learn. She was so straight up and it was hilarious but she is so off because my comp has been out for almost a year and she speaks pretty good haha. We also had a lesson with a less active member. She is always so accepting and will come to church when we ask, I really think a little love goes a long way. She feels loved by us and feels included. So remember that a little love goes a long way and that even just talking to someone makes their day and helps them!!! Also today was 100 of being a missionary! So crazy !!

Thursday we had some more lessons! They were awesome. We invited a lot of people to conference and we are excited to see who come! We had some lessons that made us realize what the best things to teach are and what the romanians actually need to hear so it was interesting to rethink the best way to teach and serve those around us. Really big good learning experience.

Friday we visited a member who is preparing to go to the temple (our branch is going next month!!!) and it was awesome! We also found a lot and invited so many people to conference! It'll be good!

Saturday we found for a while and went to invite some inactive members to watch conference with us! We met some cool people so I'm excited! It was awesome!

Sunday we watched conference as a branch and holy cow it was amazing. I love conference, it was so amazing. We also had a lesson with a family. We went over to their house and it was the coolest experience. They are Roma ( just a race of people in Romania) and they were awesome. We read 3 nephi 11 with them and they invited us in to pray. We walked into their home and they wanted to sing with us. We offered to sing a hymn but they wanted to sing one of their songs. So they taught us a song and we sang with them and then we sang I am a child of God with them. We prayed with them, they all prayed individually out loud, it was so cool. Such a fun experience. They were awesome. Sunday was so amazing.

Spiritual thought!!:

Of course it's gonna be from conference haha, in Elder Hollands talk he outlined the commandment, "love others as I had loved you", Jesus loved us perfectly and personally, we need to love others AS JESUS LOVES US! now clearly we can't do that perfectly but we can try our best! A little love goes a long way!!!

This week was so good! I felt low about my language but also I started feeling it click a little towards the end of the week and felt like I was improving which is awesome! We ate a lot of shoarma this week and a lot of 50 cent ice cream cones from McDonald's! Pretty top tier.

I love my mission, I love romania, the people, I love my Savior and I love all of you! Write to me!
